Sneak Peek

OOh here's a sneak peek at my new illustration!
I've literally been working on this all day
as the hair and the top have a LOT of detail!

She doesn't have eyes yet,
I decided to leave it till last as they can make or break a drawing!

I've come to a realization that I only like to draw on
moleskine sketchbook paper, as it's so smooth and thick.
The one above is running out of pages and
I'm currently having a hard time parting with my money to buy a new one
as I have another, I just can't get to it.
It is handed in as part of my final major project.
It should be marked soon and I'll be able to get it back...
but until then, I have to draw small
and conserve precious paper!

Moleskine roughs/ideas

So I'm working on some ideas for my final major project,
which is on the representation of women.
I've decided to illustrate around the theme of the seven deadly sins VS the seven virtues.
I want to link them to fashion in some way.
These are some roughs/ideas that I played around with.
Using magazine cut outs helps get ideas down faster than drawing everything out
(which I can do later)
So expect some sinful illustrations sometime soon!

Smile

Here is pretty much the only thing I got round to doing while I was on my holiday. I tried to draw around the streets of venice beach and when I finally did I was approached by a guy who had a 20 min conversation with me and insisted I visited the library, and then was told to smile by a homeless man. At that point I had to look at my life and really think... hmmm, I'm going to stop now.
